Kings Tax & Accounting
Kings Tax & Accounting opened for business in 2019. When looking to create simple branding and a logo, they hired me. Relatively small, but modern and professional, Kings Tax provides personal financial, accounting, and tax services. They wanted branding that could be used across these various fields.
The client request specified minimalism, strength, and trust. A crown emblem was discussed, but they feared a cheesy logo would conflate their business with gambling or pawn shops. I designed the first logos with this in mind.
The client selected the bar and triangles design. I rebuilt the icon from scratch to ensure quality. created a color scheme from the pantone library to assure proper contrast and best print options.
Various color schemes were proposed. I used Pantone swatches for best print reproduction, and took contrast issues into consideration.
Various typefaces were considered for the combination mark. Once chosen, I kerned and fineset the type. I also edited the caps to truly customize this type to match the overall style for the mark.
Everything set, I provided the client with the final lockups and formats. Light and dark background, transparency, print and digital formats were all taken into consideration.
